If you are in immediate danger or know another child or young person who is, then tell an adult you trust immediately, or call 999.
Abuse is anything another person does that's meant to cause harm. But it's not always easy to know what's abuse or what to do about it. This page provides information on some of the different types of abuse and how to get support.
There is a lot more information available on the Childline website.

Where to get more information
The NSPCC provides information on child abuse, and offers support and advice.
The Barnet Safeguarding Children Partnership’s purpose is to ensure that all the agencies in Barnet who work with children and young people work together in their efforts to keep you safe and help you to do well.
What to do if you, or someone you know is being abused
If you or someone you know is being abused, you should tell an adult you trust as soon as possible – this could be a parent, carer, social worker or caseworkers, or anyone else you see regularly.
If you or somebody you know is experiencing abuse, Childline will always be available to talk to, completely free of charge. The video below shows you what will happen if you call Childline.
