Social care covers a wide range of care and support. There are lots of ways the social care system can support you.

In Barnet, the services you will might need to use are:

0-25 disabilities service - Barnet’s 0 - 25 Disability Service offers social care support to children from birth to 25 who have a profound disability, severe disability, multiple disability or a complex and long-term health condition resulting in profound disability. Additionally, we offer a service to young people aged 18 to 25 who have a diagnosed learning or physical disability.

Short breaks - Short Breaks are a range of play and leisure services for disabled children and young people aged 0 - 18 who live in Barnet. These services are targeted at children and young people who need additional support in order to access play and leisure services.

Early Help – Barnet’s Early Help Offer identifies the need for help for children and families as soon as problems start to emerge, or when there is a strong likelihood that problems will emerge in the future.

Barnet’s Children and Families website sets out the range of support that is available.

The Barnet Safeguarding Children Partnership – their purpose is to ensure that all the agencies in Barnet who work with children and young people work together in their efforts to keep you safe and help you to do well.The Barnet Safeguarding Children’s Partnership have included some tips and information on issues that affect children and young people.
