Description of activity

•Vision screening failures from screening programme •Vision screening failures from special schools •Any children over 6 months suspected of squints. lazy eye, refractive error, and family history of above Any special needs children needing statementing (severely complicated children referred to acute unit – Barnet/ Royal free) All children have a full Orthoptic exam and will see the Ophthalmologist for eye exam if required. All children with squint/lazyeyes/vision problems are diagnosed and treated within the community clinics.Once treatment complete (may take few years) the children are discharged and adivsed to see there local Optometrists for review.
