Organisation or Service
Barnet Carers Centre
Description of activity

The Centre offers advice, information, emotional and practical support for all informal carers who live or work in the London Borough of Barnet. We help those who may be affected by a child, sibling or a parent with a disability. Within our remit we accept young carers with small needs, for example low level autism or SEN needs. We have a support network for parents who have a child with a disability but cannot take on severe disabilities as these young people are usually the cared for and unable to provide care to others. We provide on going support through our youth clubs, one-to-one school sessions and mentoring.
