Description of activity

The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) is the single point of entry for all children and young people who may need a service from Children's Social Care. This includes the Disabled Children's Social Work Team. The outcome of a referral could be: - signposting to other universal or targeted services - a CAF - a social care assessment - a child protection investigation

Referral Criteria

For parents, referrals can be made by telephone.

For professionals, referrals must be made using the online referral form: www.barnet.gov.uk/wwcib/mash

Decisions are made on the basis of an assessment of need completed by a social worker.
