Fostering friendships for children with SEN - Workshop
Description
Who should attend:
Any primary or secondary school staff members who support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Outline/Objectives:
This workshop is an opportunity for school staff within the Barnet community to learn more about how we can support children with SEN to develop and maintain friendships. We will cover topics such as setting up friendship groups, specific approaches to support the development of social skills, and more general strategies for the playground/classroom.
This will be an interactive session with opportunities for group discussions so that ideas can be shared amongst colleagues from different settings.
