Dear Parents and young people,
Due to the developing Covid-19 situation, the following SEN phase transfer session that were due to take place have been cancelled:
• Wednesday 25 March from 6.30pm to 8pm
• Thursday 26 March from 1pm to 2.30pm
Both were taking place at St Paul’s Church Hall, Long Lane, Finchley, London N3 2PU.

This fantastic new resource is a toolkit of top tips to support all staff in using Quality First Teaching strategies when meeting the needs of learners.
Quality First Teaching and the graduated response to SEN is embedded in the SEND Code of Practice and the toolkit has been developed by members of the SEN Support workstream to support this in school settings.

Our Barnet Spring term SENCO Conference was held on 27th February 2020.
The focus of the day was ‘Diversity & Inclusion’ and we were thrilled to have Sarah Rose (Children & Young Peoples Programme Manager) from Stonewall as our keynote speaker.
Sarah gave an engaging and compelling presentation on LGBT Inclusive Education with practical guidance and support for schools.

All local authorities are required to regularly review and update their plans about their SEN provision. The council undertook a consultation in the summer term 2019 seeking views about the type of SEN provision we need in Barnet.
