The Skills Toolkit is a new online learning platform which was launched by Education Secretary, Gavin Williamson, on 28th April to help boost the nation’s skills while people are staying at home.

This new platform is a great resource for young people as it gives you access to free, high-quality digital and numeracy courses designed to help you build up your skills, progress in work and boost your job prospects.

All the courses are free and cover a range of levels from everyday maths and tools for using email to more advanced training.

All courses are online and flexible, so people can work through them at their own pace and in manageable bite-sized resources.

The Skills Toolkit is divided into three levels of courses:

  1. Introductory courses
  2. Intermediate courses
  3. Advanced courses

You can click on the above links which will take you to these sections of The Skills Toolkit.

The Introductory courses range from learning how to use office programs like Excel, Word and PowerPoint to refreshing your maths skills to help with everyday life or get on in your job. It's a great way to practice skills and learn new ones.
