What is the competition about?

We recently launched our ‘It’s Okay to be Different’ competition at our SENCO Conference in February.  The competition is an opportunity to celebrate difference and is open to our schools and children & young people in Barnet.

What do I need to do?

You need to either create a display or resource based on the theme of ‘It’s Okay to be Different’ and display this in your school.

Some ideas to get you started:

  • Create additional pages to the story ‘It’s Okay to be Different’
  • Make a class or school display based on this theme
  • Write a song
  • Make a PowerPoint
  • Make a film – ‘It’s Okay to …’
  • Use art to create colourful resources

How do I enter?

  • Display your resource somewhere in your school
  • Send evidence of your resource to: Samantha.Rothwell@barnet.gov.uk by 22.04.20
  • Please call the subject of your email ‘It’s Okay to be Different’

Closing date: 19th June 2020

What is the prize?

The winning school will be awarded with a £50 Amazon voucher. 2nd and 3rd prizes are £25 Amazon vouchers. Prizes will be given at the next SENCO conference on 24th June 2020
